here my (and my son's!) listens: https://listenbrainz.org/user/cloudspeakers
i'm affraid it would involve creating a DM feature which is not currently planned at all :(
Just noticed an interesting Federation related issue:
On Mastodon, I'd DM the bot and tell it to unfollow - they implemented that correctly. But how to send a DM from the Prismo account to that bot account?!
I figured that - never thought of it before it happened, only natural that we will keep discovering new things in the Fediverse now that it is getting more diverse in information services that exchange information between each other!
Did you plan a function to block followers instead? That would do the job, even if different from sending a DM (I think it is perfectly fine not to implement messenging as part of Prismo, or you end up reproducing all of Mastodon).
i'm not sure if that's what would suit you but i'm planning to make a follow request feature - maybe that can be combined somehow
i'm really glad to hear that :)
@mxb The mobile version is GORGEOUS
woah thats awesome I will have to go test out these new features now!
yeah, that's true. This needs to be added to prismo :)
just realized how does one get to the "home" of the post. in the above post from @stringbean it seems there is only a way to get a local link, how would get to the link for their comment on their account? I think that would be an important thing to be able to access so as to be able to interact with it from another service.
@mxb prismo news looks really really good! Conratulations!
Wuuut?!?! Awesome! Congrats, @mxb !
@mxb Congratulations man.
@mxb Great ! It's time to upgrade !
Very nice article! Thanks for sharing :)
The only thing the fediverse is missing is an easy-to-install-by-the-average-joe kind of service, heh. But I'm not complaining, I know it isn't easy to even build an AP service, let alone making it easy to install.
@mxb Great ! 😍
First comment as a prismo user! I think there needs to be a way to show "metadata" on posts in the mastodon interface. I could see it just going in the ... menu. cause there really should also be a way to see what software sent a post in mastodon with out having to click through and gage what the software is by how it looks. this would also be a good place to show tags. It could list the tags in a post regardless if they are included in the text or not in a "post tagged with ..." modal or something.
I would but have you seen how many open issues there are now these days overthere? its insane, I think it would get more of a response to start a thread about it and mock it up then it would be to just post an issue.
I am really impressed with how far prismo has come btw. if we can get Lobsters onboard too and also this littr.me gets going there is gonna be some major traction in this space!
actually...you convinced me, it sounds both simple and really handy. Too bad my skills does not match Mastodon tech-stack and i can't came up with a PR for that :( But i think that's extremely good idea to open an issue about that on masto github.
And BTW - welcome on Prismo, hope you enjoy it so far :)
that would involve changes on mastodon side and i doubt they're gonna happen soon as it seems to be a pretty huge change in the mastodon UI / design.
Also, that would be pretty weird to display tags two times - first time in the toot body and the second time in the "tags list" for a toot. I just can't imagine how it could be done right.
@mxb wow, my comment shoed up in prismo, even with avatar.
THIS. IS. AWESOME!!! :awesome:
@mxb generally this is kind of truth, and that is why I love whole #ActivityPub concept. I don't have to have and application for each social net in fediverse I use. And I don't have to create an account for every single part of network I attend.
On the other hand, that excitement has another side of things: people talk about all that around, scaring people out from starting using whole network 😄
@mxb "additional tags" and show ones not in the body?
@mxb hmm just realized you have tags but they are not exposed in the post itself on mastodon. I wonder how we can get mastodon to show tags that are not "in the body"
this post shows up when you search for #ActivityPub (:
@mxb @Niquarl @0x1C3B00DA seems they are working on adding support for other #ActivityPub stuff but so far they have only done tests with Mastodon. Its hard for them to get support with the devs of many projects because they are not open source and it seems there is pretty sparse documentation on how pleroma is implementing things.
